Terms of Use

Please note: By downloading or using Cancely, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and the developer of Cancely ("we", "us") regarding your use of the Cancely mobile application and related services (the "App").

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the App. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. What Cancely Does

Cancely is a personal tool that helps you keep track of the subscriptions you pay for. You can:

• Add subscriptions manually and see your total monthly and yearly spend
• Receive reminders before a subscription renews
• View informational, step-by-step guides on how to cancel popular services
• Optionally import a bank or card statement (PDF) so the App can suggest recurring charges
• Optionally add a subscription by voice

3. Cancely Premium (Subscription)

Some features require a paid subscription, "Cancely Premium". Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through your Apple ID, subject to the App Store Terms of Service.

• Premium is an auto-renewing subscription billed at the price shown in the App at purchase
• A free trial may be offered on your first purchase, where available
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase
• The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions

Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple’s policies; we cannot issue App Store refunds directly.

4. Your Content

You are responsible for the information you add to the App, including subscription details and any statement files you choose to import. You confirm you have the right to provide that information.

You grant us a limited licence to process the content you provide solely to operate the features described above (for example, parsing an imported statement to detect recurring charges). We do not claim ownership of your content.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
• Interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on the App or its servers
• Upload content that is unlawful, malicious, or that you have no right to share

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, text, and logos, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. Trademarks and logos of third-party services shown in the App belong to their respective owners and are used only for identification.

7. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Cancely is an organisational tool, not financial, legal, or tax advice. Spend totals, reminders, and cancellation guides are estimates and conveniences that may be incomplete or inaccurate.

You remain solely responsible for your own subscriptions, payments, and cancellations.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any charges you incur from third-party services, arising out of your use of (or inability to use) the App.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and delete your data from within the App (Settings → Reset). We may suspend or discontinue the App, in whole or in part, at any time.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date below. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
