Privacy Policy

In short: Composr is designed to collect as little as possible. It works without an account — your identity is just an anonymous device identifier — and we never sell your data. This policy explains what we process and why.

1. Data We Process

Depending on how you use the App, we process:

• Text prompts you type — the mood or few words you enter are sent to Google Gemini (through fal.ai and OpenRouter) to write the lyrics, and to MiniMax Music (through fal.ai) to compose and perform the track
• Photos you choose — if you pick a photo from your library to turn into a song, the image is uploaded to our servers and read by Google Gemini (through fal.ai and OpenRouter) to write a song from what it shows. It is used only for that purpose, and it is not sent to any other provider — the cover-art service receives a short text description, never your photo
• An anonymous device identifier — used to save and sync your song library and remember your subscription without requiring an account
• Subscription status — whether you have an active Composr Pro subscription (via Apple and RevenueCat)
• Usage and diagnostics — product analytics and crash reports that help us understand and improve the App
• Install attribution — limited data about how you found the App, for marketing measurement

2. Why We Process It

We use this data to:

• Provide and operate the App’s features (writing lyrics, generating music and AI cover art, instrumental tracks, and your personal library)
• Turn your text prompts or chosen photo into an original song
• Save and sync your generated songs and let you share them
• Process and manage your Composr Pro subscription
• Measure marketing and understand how the App is used, so we can improve it
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse

3. Service Providers

We share limited data with trusted providers only to deliver these features:

• Apple — App Store payments and subscriptions
• RevenueCat — subscription management
• AppsFlyer — install attribution
• Amplitude — product analytics
• Bugsnag — crash reporting
• fal.ai — the AI platform our server sends generation requests through
• MiniMax Music, through fal.ai — composes and performs your song (ACE-Step for instrumental-only tracks)
• Google Gemini, through fal.ai and OpenRouter — writes the lyrics and reads your photo in the photo-to-song flow
• Pollinations — generates the AI cover art from a short text description of your song (it never receives your photo)
• Supabase — secure cloud hosting of your generated songs and app data

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data Retention

We keep your generated songs and app data tied to your device while you use the App, so your library is available when you return. You can remove them at any time from within the App. Photos you choose are processed transiently for generation only and are not used for any other purpose.

5. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live (including under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to:

• Access the data associated with your device
• Delete your data — remove your generated songs from within the App
• Opt out of the “sale” of personal information — note that we do not sell your data
• Ask us about our practices by contacting us

7. Children

Composr is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date below.
